Ideas are useful when you try them
The lessons connect a short explanation with an exercise you can do. They are written as self-guided activities, using familiar tools and ordinary starting points.
Your version belongs in the process
A result does not have to look like someone else's example. The practice questions ask what you noticed and why you chose it, rather than assigning a score to your work.
Small work still counts
A six-line scene, three photographs or a first page can be a complete session. You can return to the same exercise with a different subject and see something new.
